On December 3, 2021, the National Institute of Fashion Technology launched the NIFT Application Form 2022 in an online format. Students have till January 17, 2022 to fill out the NIFT application form and pay the normal price. On February 6, the NIFT entrance exam 2022 will be held.The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) holds an entrance exam to select candidates for admission to its design programmes, which include Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM), and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) (MFTech). NIFT is a pioneer in the field of fashion education, with its headquarters in New Delhi. NIFT has campuses in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Shillong, Raebareli, Srinagar, and Panchkula, in addition to its headquarters in New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelors/ Undergraduate Programme
Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes (B.F.Tech)
- To be eligible to apply, a candidate's age must be less than 24 years old on August 1st of the admission year.
- Candidates from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Persons With Disabilities (PWD) categories may have their upper age restriction modified by 5 Years.
Bachelor of Design – B.Des. (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication)
- The candidate must have completed 10+2 schooling in any subject.
- Candidates who have completed a three- to four-year diploma programme accredited by the AICTE or a state board.
- Candidates who are appearing for the 10+2 exam.
- Candidates who have graduated from a foreign university that is recognised by the Indian Universities Association.
- A passing grade in the National Open School's Senior Secondary School Examination, with a minimum of five subjects.Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (B.FTech.)
- A qualifying grade in the National Open School's Senior Secondary School Examination with a minimum of five subjects, including Physics and Mathematics.
- A three- or four-year diploma in any engineering branch approved by the AICTE or a state board of technical education is required.
- Candidates who have graduated from a foreign university that is recognised by the Indian Universities Association.

- Fill out the NIFT 2022 application form with your personal information.
- Provide information about your educational background.
- Upload a scanned image of your signature and your photos.
- The registration cost must be paid.
- The NIFT application form can be downloaded and printed.

Seats Reservation
The following are the seats reserved for various categories in each programme:
- Scheduled Castes: 15%
- Scheduled Tribes: 15%
- Other Backward Communities: 7.5 percent (non creamy)
- People with disabilities account for 27% of the population (PWD) 5% of total (horizontal reservation cutting across categories)
- Within open Category seats, EWS ten percent
- 15 percent foreign nationals/SAARC/NRI (supernumerary)
- State-owned properties account for 20% of the total (supernumerary)
- At the Srinagar Campus, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh received 35%.
